We're gathering the people who matter most for an afternoon of blessings, stories, and fun. Expect warmth, music, a baby who may or may not cooperate, and a celebration that is entirely, unashamedly, about him.

What to know before you wander in
Dress note
Garden bright, soft shoes, swimsuit underneath. The heated pool does not care how lovely you looked on arrival.
Arrival
Come early. The welcome drinks are pre-historically good. We wrap before midnight, because the tiny dinosaur has a bedtime and he enforces it.
Celebration
Name-giving ceremony, jungle buffet, vegan sweets, and one surprise the egg has been sitting on since the beginning.

Meaning
A name chosen for wonder, music, and a life full of brave tenderness.
In ancient Greek mythology, Orpheus was the ultimate poet and musician, so gifted that wild beasts would stop and sit, and stones would lean in to hear better. He played his lyre and the whole world paid attention. We liked those odds for our boy.
Family note
This name had to survive two parents, several late-night debates, and a shortlist that somehow included the entire roster of Mount Olympus. Other serious contenders: Poseidonas, Adis, Dias, and a brief but passionate campaign for Hephaestus. We are very pleased and mildly relieved to have landed on Orfeas. You should be too.
